Your treatment area will be marked to help guide your specialist, and a topical anesthetic will be applied to make the injections more comfortable. Once your face is numb, a few incisions will be made, the numbing medicine will be administered through these incisions. The FaceTite device will then begin treating the areas. This device is a handheld instrument that works both under and above the skin at the same time. It has two parts: a probe and an electrode.
The radiofrequency energy passes between the probe to the electrode, melting fat cells and tightening the skin. When FaceTite is finished, Morpheus8 will start. This is another handheld device that contains micro-needles to remodel the deep layers of the skin. The device will “stamp” the skin. The technology’s platform includes built-in safeguards of real-time temperature monitoring to ensure patient safety. If the temperature becomes too hot, it automatically turns off.
Recovery and results
You will be able to see tightening of the skin approximately one week after the procedure, and this tightening will continue through the following year. Most patients only experience mild bruising and swelling, and are able to return to work 2 to 3 days after treatment. Most patients only need one treatment.
