Radiesse

Weight loss, pregnancy, and genetics are all factors that can cause the tummy to develop loose, sagging skin and a bulging appearance. Though exercise can provide limited toning benefits, no amount of exercise or dieting can restore firmness to loose skin or repair muscles that have been stretched and separated as a result of pregnancy.

Radiesse is a calcium hydroxyapatite-based product that can produce results for up to a year or longer. Radiesse has the added benefit of stimulating the skin’s natural collagen, a key protein which provides the skin with strength and elasticity. At his Houston MedSpa, triple board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Henry Mentz offers Radiesse injectable wrinkle filler treatments for patients who want long-lasting relief from wrinkles and volume loss.

Procedure Technique

Radiesse is injected in the needed areas with a very fine needle, which causes minimal discomfort for most patients, but Radiesse can be mixed with a light anesthetic, like lidocaine, to make the procedure more comfortable. The results of Radiesse are usually seen immediately after the injection, but the appearance of the skin will continue to improve over time and with repeated treatments as more collagen is produced.
He is an excellent & professional surgeon.

FAQs

Radiesse Vs. Other Fillers?
Radiesse is unique because it is the only dermal filler approved by the FDA that is made with calcium-based microspheres instead of hyaluronic acid. The calcium hydroxyapatite base of Radiesse provides longer lasting results while improving the overall health of the skin.
Some patients may experience some mild, short-term side effects from their Radiesse treatment, including bruising, redness, swelling, discomfort, and itching. If you are concerned by any side effects or they last longer than 1 week, please contact our office for more information.
Patients are able to return to their normal activities immediately after their Radiesse treatment, however, it is recommended that patients avoid touching the treated area to prevent unwanted spreading. Patients should also avoid makeup and sun/heat exposure for at least 24 hours.
